Service
From plant to production
The success of your plant is determined during commissioning. With the experience of many successfully started industrial plants, we ensure a fast, stable and reliable start to production.

Installation and training for membrane modules
Correct membrane installation is fundamental of the entire system. We ensure that this step is carried out efficiently and without complications. Working alongside your team, we install the modules in the vacuum vessels and verify their readiness for start-up. In addition, we provide training in correct installation and testing procedures, helping to simplify future maintenance activities.
Plant start-up and commissioning
Bringing a new plant into operation involves risks, from software issues to operational challenges. We take responsibility for the entire start-up process and contribute our expertise. We anticipate potential problems before they lead to costly downtime, manage the process, teach your team, and conduct off-line monitoring.
Your role: You prepare the foundations and ensure the connection to the utilities (electricity, water, etc.). Together, we ensure a smooth and rapid start of production.

On-site pilot tests
For an initial “proof of concept”, we rent out pervaporation pilot plants for on-site testing at your premises upon request. While you handle the installation, we provide support.
- Pervaporation: For pervaporation tests, we generally recommend conducting them in our own laboratories. Our R&D team performs quickly, with expert experience and in a cost-efficient manner.
- Pressure-driven processes: For pressure-driven tests (nano/ultrafiltration), testing at your site is often more sensible, as larger quantities of material are available and the units are easier to operate.
Qualification support for the pharmaceutical industry
The qualification of a plant in the pharmaceutical sector is a complex regulatory process. We provide a comprehensive and traceable documentation to support your final product validation.
- Design and Documentation: From the engineering phase onwards, we carry out design reviews. We create the software and functional specifications based on “Equipment Modules” concept, which can be implemented within the GAMP framework.
- Certificates: We deliver our plants with a comprehensive documentation package, including 3.1 material certificates, calibration certificates for instruments, and FDA certificates of conformity.
- Qualification Tests: We perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) according to approved protocols. These serve as essential building blocks for the final qualification of your process plant.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly does the "Plant Start-up" service at DeltaMem include?
Our service covers the full management of commissioning. We provide our process expertise, train your staff, monitor the systems through off-line analysis, and offer expert troubleshooting to ensure a smooth transition to routine operation.
How long does it take from delivery to start-up?
This depends largely on site conditions. Once the necessary infrastructure is in place and all connections are prepared, commissioning usually takes place approximately six months after the plant has been delivered.
What is the difference between FAT and SAT?
The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) is carried out at our facility prior to delivery to verify that the plant has been built in accordance with specifications. The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) takes place after installation at your premises, where performance is validated under real operating conditions in collaboration with your team.
Does DeltaMem recommend on-site pilot testing?
Not in all cases. For pervaporation tests, our in-house laboratories are faster and more efficient due to our extensive experience. For pressure-driven processes such as nano-filtration or ultra-filtration, however, a test at your site can be advantageous, as larger quantities of material are available.
